Alex Sliwin

Alex Sliwin is an American singer and songwriter. He is best known for his hit songs, “The Honey Ltd.,” and “Handyman.” Sliwin also has a sister named Joan. Both Sliwin sisters worked in the music industry and had many notable roles. In addition to writing songs for the Eagles, they also co-wrote many songs for the band.

In 1969, J. D. Souther and Alex Sliwin married, but Alex left Honey Ltd. at Souther’s request. They divorced in 1972 and the group was disbanded. Alex Sliwin then formed Bijoux, a band with his sister Joan. Glenn Frey also moved to Los Angeles and stayed at Honey Ltd. in Toluca Lake. Alex Sliwin introduced the two to each other, and the two became friends.

Alex Sliwin and his bandmates formed Honey Ltd. in the 1960s, with three other members. The band’s album cover featured five young girls in the hazy sunlight, representing the five different colors of Fanta soft drinks. The girls were all 19 when they formed the band, and they honed their harmonies in a college cafeteria.
