Jack Groppel is a world-famous tennis speaker and author, as well as a bio-mechanist, nutritionist, business consultant, and life coach. He has had a huge impact on the tennis industry as a speaker and educator. Jack is known for his ability to bring the two worlds together.

Jack studied medicine in Texas and completed a residency in public health and general surgery. While working in a private practice in Ventura County, California, Jack was inspired by his physician colleagues to create an association for physicians. Career

Born in 1931, Jack Dr. was an all-around athlete who excelled in tennis and football. He was recruited to play football for the University of New Mexico, but was injured during a game and transferred to Amarillo Junior College where he played tennis and basketball on scholarship. His stellar tennis game led him to become a state championship doubles finalist. He later went on to study at Texas A&M and received a degree in floriculture.

His parents were both busy working. His mother Pam Sock was a financial adviser in Lincoln and his father Larry drove four hours round trip to Kansas for spring break. During his high school years, Jack had four Kansas Class 6A titles, including the Class 6A title. His parents had accepted that he had a better tennis game than they did.

Influence on game

Jack’s career in medicine began at a young age, when he watched his father do surgery on his mother’s cat. He was only 12 when he performed the ‘elective’ procedure, only to realize that cats don’t have an appendix. His curiosity kept him motivated, and he later studied medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He combined his love for medicine with his love for tennis.

Recent illness

Jack had previously been a healthy child, but recently was hospitalized due to a heart condition. Doctors have linked the heart condition to a newly discovered virus called coronavirus. There are currently over 200 cases of this condition in the United States and Europe, and a few children have died. Fortunately, there are ways to treat this infection.

Favorite player

Jack Draper started playing soccer at a young age. He showed talent and was able to unlock the game early on. However, injuries kept him from playing enough. As a result, he eventually stopped playing the game at the age of 30 in 2022. Even so, he still proved to be a quality midfielder.
