Jacqueline Bisset is a British actress who first came to fame in 1968. Her first movie roles were in Bullitt, The Detective and The Sweet Ride. In 1969, she was nominated for a Golden Globe award as the most promising newcomer. She has since gone on to be a prominent figure in the world of film, receiving many awards and nominations.

Her breakthrough role came in the 1968 film “Bullitt.” She co-starred with Steve McQueen and was nominated for Best Actress in the movie. Bisset was in the role of a tough San Francisco detective who had a penchant for hard driving. Bisset received critical acclaim for her role in this spoof of James Bond.

Bisset’s film and television career has been varied. She appeared in a number of films, and was Golden Globe and CableACE Award-nominated for “Under the Volcano” in the 1980s. The following year, she was nominated for another Golden Globe, for “Dancing on the Edge.” Bisset also co-starred with Drew Barrymore in the drama “Class” (1984).

Her role in “La cérémonie” (1995) garnered a Cesar Award nomination. She also received the Legion of Honour in 2010.

Her first job was as a waitress in a Chinese restaurant. She has since gone on to star in numerous movies. Her roles include “Undercover a Secret”, “The Last Film Festival,” and “The Lodger.” In 2016, Bisset received a nomination for the Satellite Award for Best Actress.

Bisset has been an international film star since the late 1960s. Her beauty made her a top choice for her first roles. She has worked with directors such as John Huston, Francois Truffaut, and George Cukor. She has also worked with renowned actors such as Anthony Quinn, Paul Newman, and Nick Nolte.

Bisset was born in Weybridge, Surrey, England. She was the daughter of a Scottish doctor and a French lawyer. As a child, she studied ballet. However, she was considered too tall for a professional dance career and ended up supporting her mother through modeling. However, her career grew steadily and Bisset went on to star in numerous films.
