Empowerment Temple, led by Dr. Jamal Harrison Bryant, is a church that started out with 43 members and has now grown to over ten thousand. The ministry focuses on inspiring people to live up to their potential by offering them spiritual, educational, and social opportunities. He also serves as a community developer, speaker, and motivational speaker.

His father, an AME bishop, and mother, a pastor from Baltimore, exposed them to poverty and the problems of the world as children. The Bryants’ family even traveled to Haiti and Liberia where they witnessed the devastation caused by war. Their high school teacher recalled that Jamal Bryant was torn between Dr. Khag, a former African revolutionary.

His wife

Gizelle Bryant, the wife of Baltimore’s Pastor Dr. Jamal Bryant, has reportedly found a new love in her life. Although they’d divorced in 2009, the two recently reunited to resume their romance. Though they had a troubled marriage, Gizelle was a constant presence in Jamal’s sermons.

In addition to serving as an ambassador for the United Nations, Bryant is also an advocate for civil rights and social justice. Among her accomplishments was her work as the head of the collegiate section of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Currently, Bryant runs a radio show, the “Power of Life.”

As a pastor, Jamal Bryant has a large following in the United States. Though he is not publicly forthcoming about his salary, he is renowned for his sermons. His first sermon was delivered at the age of eighteen, and he later became an all-time pastor of Empowerment Temple AME Church in Baltimore. He remained at the church for six years before accepting the offer to pastor New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta.

His children

When you look at the Bible, you can’t help but see people like Jamal Bryant who have made some mistakes and went on to do great things for the Lord. His daughter, Topaz Bryant, is a big fan of preaching and has expressed her interest in becoming a preacher, too. She has even posted pictures of her mother on Instagram, though she hasn’t tagged the account. In her Instagram posts, Topaz describes her mother as her mentor and inspiration.

Bryant is an American minister and author. He is currently the senior pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in South DeKalb County. He earned an undergraduate degree at Morehouse College, a master’s degree in divinity from Duke University, and a doctorate in ministry from the Graduate Theological Foundation. He also spent time studying at Oxford University in the United Kingdom.

Bryant has a son named John Karston. He married his wife in 2009, but they later separated. However, their romance has recently rekindled.

His church

Jamal Bryant has apologized for trashing Kevin Samuels in one of his Mother’s Day sermons. He is sorry for the hurt that his remarks caused to Samuels’ family, his community and his Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity brothers. He says that the apology is part of owning the behavior. Holding someone accountable for their actions doesn’t make them hateful, but it does mean that they have an expectation of a person’s behavior. He also says that the apology does not make him a hater, but a believer who has a moral obligation to hold someone accountable. Though his family has denied it, some have said that Samuels died broke.
