Jerome Harry Producer

The acclaimed film score composer Jerome Harry has joined the ranks of producers of the upcoming feature film Black Panther. He also serves as the executive producer on the film. Jerome is an avid gamer and has worked on scores for AAA titles, such as those from 2K Games and Bandai Namco. His writing has also been featured on the PBS documentary Sweet Tornado: Margo Jones and the American Theater. A former television journalist and screenwriter, Jerome has won several awards for his work.

His work has been honored with the prestigious Oscar, which he won for Best Original Screenplay in 1979 for “Black Swan.” His films include “The Day of the Locust” and “Glory and the Beast,” which was the first X-rated film to win Best Picture.

Harry Jerome was born in Prince Albert, SK, and named after his father. He was a shy kid in high school. He was the only Black student at his school. His best friend, Paul Winn, was a Toronto native who was part of the cool crowd. Their friendship helped him overcome the challenges of being the only Black student in a predominantly White school.

In addition to creating films like Black Panther and Black Swan, Jerome Harry also choreographed television shows. He staged the Ford 50th Anniversary Show (1953) and directed Aaron Copland’s opera “The Tender Land” (1954). He also created a television show called “Peter Pan” starring Mary Martin. In addition to his Broadway work, he choreographed “Afternoon of a Faun” (1953) and “The Concert” (1956).

Jerry Bruckheimer has two children. His first wife, Bonnie Sue Fishman, passed away in 1974. His second wife, Linda Sue Bruckheimer, is a writer. He married Bonnie Sue Fishman in 1969. He has a daughter with his second wife, actress Linda Sue Bruckheimer.
