There he oversaw a singles’ group and wrote columns for the church newsletter. Later that year, he and Denalyn relocated to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil as full-time missionaries.
His first book, On the Anvil, was published in 1985 and since then he has written over 30 trade books and earned numerous accolades. Christianity Today and Reader’s Digest named him “America’s Pastor”.
He is married to Denalyn and they have three daughters: Jenna, an evangelist; Andrea and Sara Lucado are writers.
Max enjoys reading, playing golf, traveling and spending time with his family. He is an avid fan of the TV show Shark Tank as well.
For over three decades, the Lucado family has been active in ministry. Their family now consists of several children, a granddaughter, and great-grandson. Throughout their travels around the globe they have spoken at conferences and led revivals.
