Tasha Ericksen

Tasha Ericksen is a mother of two, who lives in Ferndale, Washington. She is married to Doug Ericksen, who was a popular senator who advocated for social distancing in several states. They have two daughters, Elsa and Addi, who are both in college. While they are not active on social media, it is assumed that they are about 50 or 55 years old.

She has a long history in politics, serving in the Washington State Senate and as a lobbyist. Her husband is also a former U.S. senator, and she married him in 1998. Tasha Ericksen is a primary school teacher. She also works as a policy analyst for the Washington Senate Republican Caucus. Her political career began as a lobbyist for U.S. Sen. Doug Ericksen.

Ericksen has been absent from legislative actions for months. She missed more votes than any other state lawmaker and fought against vaccine mandates. She was also an advocate for relaxing pandemic measures. She recently tested positive for COVID-19, a deadly virus that is spreading in El Salvador. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, travelers are not advised to travel to El Salvador without full vaccination.

Doug Ericksen was a Washington State senator from 2011 to 2021. He served as chair of the Senate Energy, Environment, and Telecommunications Committee. His wife, Tasha, is a high school English teacher who taught at Ferndale High School. The senator’s death came as a shock to the family. He is survived by his wife and their two children. This news caused a flurry of reactions from those closest to him.

While he did not publicly condemn Ericksen, the state senators did. The state Senate Republican caucus approved the death of Ericksen on December 17, 2021, as did U.S. Ambassador Jay Inslee. Doug Ericksen was a longtime conservative member of the Washington State legislature. He represented Whatcom County and was diagnosed with Covid-19 in El Salvador at the beginning of November. Tasha Ericksen was his wife. His daughter Tasha also confirmed that the Senator was in rough shape when he tested positive for the virus in mid-November. Ericksen’s death is a tragic loss to the community and to his wife Tasha.
