The Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce is looking forward to hosting its annual Halloween parade again in 2021. Traditionally, the parade draws as many as 20,000 spectators and includes marching bands, school groups, and organizations as well as performers. It features more than 100 floats and starts at 6:30pm on St. Louis Street before heading east down Main Street. It ends at High Street after it has completed its circuit of downtown. Parking is available in the super lot east of Main Street. Side streets are also available for spectators.
The parade is sponsored by the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce. The parade is family-friendly and attracts both local residents and visitors. After tonight, the parade will be televised on ECTV. The Edwardsville Intelligencer will publish the winners. Edwardsville/Glen Chamber Facebook followers are encouraged to vote on their favorite float, which will also broadcast on ECTV.
The Ed/Glen Chamber office will be open from noon to 4 pm on the week of October 19-22. Late entries will not be accepted, but will be placed at end. Anyone who misses the deadline will be disqualified. Grand Champion will be the float that has received the most fan votes. There are many other awards and recognition for the top floats in this parade, so vote for your favorite.
