Different Types of Horse Hairstyles

Different types of horse hairstyles exist for each breed. These can range from ponytails to running braids. These styles are also referred to as Spanish braids and Forelock hairstyles. These styles are a perfect match for a horse’s unique style. Below are some examples.

Running braid

Another tip to follow is to use a horse-specific brush. This is much easier on your horse’s hair than a standard hairbrush. You can also use detangler spray to make the process easier. You should also hold the tail of your horse to avoid getting kicked while brushing. Always start at the base of the tail and work your way up.
