The IEST Cleanroom Basics course is an introduction to cleanroom standards and the operation of cleanrooms. Participants learn about the principles of cleanroom qualification and ongoing monitoring, and get practical examples of cleanroom testing. The Cleanroom Basics course covers the basics of cleanrooms, including the types of cleanrooms and how to measure cleanliness. The course also covers how to use cleanrooms and perform filling and transferring operations.

Nanotechnology working group

The IEST Nanotechnology Working Group is currently developing guidelines, standards, and best practices for the field of nanotechnology. Members of the group will meet during the annual meeting of the Institute, which is scheduled to take place April 29-May 2 in Bloomingdale, Illinois. This meeting is open to all interested parties.

The group is led by IEST Fellow Dr. David Ensor. The group’s goals are to define and implement standards that ensure a safe and effective environment for nanotechnology facilities. Its members are comprised of representatives from the contamination control industry.

ANSI accreditation

ANSI accreditation is a hallmark of a quality organization and is an important factor in ensuring the consistency of standards. The organization helps promote commerce and protects the public interest by creating standards for various products, services, and processes. Its standards help ensure that products and processes meet safety and environmental requirements.

ANSI accreditation is internationally recognized. The IEST is a nonprofit membership association dedicated to environmental science and technology.
