During the COVID lockdown, OnlyFans gained mainstream attention and quickly became a hub for all things adult. This led celebrities to capitalize on the platform by promoting non-NSFW content on their pages. In Pennsylvania, the only other state to allow political candidates to use onlyFans is New Jersey. OnlyFans charges $4.99 per person to follow candidates on the site. In a post published on April 14, 2022, Hunt defends her decision to create the account. The post has almost 4,000 likes and 60 comments. Some users called her decision “gross.”
OnlyFans is very similar to Twitter, which is the only other similarity. OnlyFans requires creators to post consistent, high-quality content in order to make money. Developing consistent, quality content can take weeks, or even months. OnlyFans’ new account verification process was introduced in May. But this has not stopped some underage users from creating accounts. Pennsylvania girl aged 17 years old used another person’s ID to sign up as an underage. She used various profiles for seven months.
