Simpkins Pool Party
The Parks & Rex “Pool Party” FUNdraiser is being held on Aug. 21 by the Santa Cruz County Parks Department and Animal Shelter. The event will feature local food, entertainment, games and activities for children. There will also be a doggie day spa for guests to enjoy. Proceeds will benefit county animal shelter and youth recreation programs. You are invited to the Parks & Rex “Pool Party” if you would like to host a pool party in support of a cause.
The Simpkins Family Swim Center recently reopened its doors following months of renovations. Although the center still features a portable lift, it no longer offers one. Instead, the facility has steps in the shallow end and no lift at the deeper portion. The shallow end of the pool has a floating divider, which makes it easy for even the youngest of swimmers to access the water. A fun way to celebrate summer and to support your favorite nonprofit is by attending a Simpkins pool party!
The Simpkins Family Swim Center offers year-round aquatics programs, including a 50-meter outdoor pool with 17 lanes. The water is 78 degrees F year-round. The water is between three and eight feet deep. Simpkins offers lifeguard training and swim lessons for both children and adults. There is even a zero-depth entry ramp for wheelchair users. To host your next pool party, you can also hire the Simpkins Family Swimming Center.
