Anita Smothers Murder

It is clear that Anita Smothers’ death was a terrible crime. The family and friends of the late woman spent the next four months searching for her, even turning to spiritualists to help find her. They were able to find her body when a tow truck arrived at her house to tow the car. The car was unregistered and was parked in Springfield Gardens just a few blocks from Kareem Flake, her cousin. Eventually, the operator found the body in the car’s trunk.

The NYPD has not been able provide much information since the murder. According to the police, the mother was not told that her daughter was suffering as much as her boyfriend. The woman and her boyfriend were visiting Anita’s grandmother’s funeral. The death, however, has prompted Anita to seek out her boyfriend, Sanjay. The investigation continues to unfold.
