The Stars Are On My Side
A Sky Full of Stars is an electronic dance track by Avicii. The song was recorded during the band’s sixth studio album’s sessions at the Beehive and The Bakery, two purpose-built recording studios in North London. The track reached number one in the UK, Israel, Luxembourg, Portugal, Lebanon, and the Walloon region of Belgium. It reached number one on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart, and the band received an MTV Europe Music Award nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
The video begins with Chris Martin singing the first verse of the song as a one-man band. Other members of Coldplay also appear dressed as one-man bands, and play the instrumental refrain. The video ends with the band reunited in a square where paper-made stars are blown into it during the song’s final part. This montage gives the song a humorous spin, but the video is no less charming for it.
