Author Bill Lively, Let it Go, had difficulty letting go his old life. It was hard to let go of his career and his hometown. But when he had a chance to do so, he seized it. Lively decided to quit his job, which had been his for 17 years, to retire to Estes Park in Colorado. In the two months that followed, he and Mickey spent hiking and watching the wildlife from their porch. But his health was deteriorating. Lively was losing weight and was suffering from headaches every day. Lively’s younger brothers had suffered strokes, so he was worried about his health.
