Brandon Theesfeld Father

The father of a man accused of killing a college student, Brandon Theesfeld, remains unconvinced of his son’s guilt. The neighbor of the alleged killer has criticized him, but Theesfeld’s father believes his son is innocent. The alleged killer is also an Oxford University student. The university has suspended his enrollment. Many are now questioning the motives of the father.

The Covid-19 pandemic delayed Theesfeld’s trial and he pleaded guilty on August 27 to first-degree murder. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole and will serve it at the Mississippi State Penitentiary, otherwise known as Parchman. Meanwhile, the family continues to honor Kostial’s memory, saying that sunsets will remind them of Ally’s bright spirit.

Theesfeld was born and raised in Dallas Fort Worth. He attended Ole Miss University until his arrest. After his arrest, his college suspended him. He was a member of Alpha Phi sorority in college, and was also arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and possession of a fake ID. Brandon is a college student and is currently in his final semester. His father insists that his son is innocent despite his recent arrest.

Investigators reached out to Kostial Theesfeld’s mother, Kostial. They were able track Theesfeld’s car using his credit card and cell phone records. During that time, police said Theesfeld had been drinking and did not want to speak with them while drunk. Theesfeld was eventually found at a South Memphis gas station. In the gas station, he still had his pistol and legal pad, which he had written to his family.

Theesfeld’s attorney, Steve Farese, told CNN that he was aware of the brutal remarks on social media and will make a plea of not guilty. As far as his son’s father’s plea, Theesfeld will most likely face trial in Mississippi for murder. His bond hearing was not scheduled, but he was due in court on Tuesday. The Lafayette County Detention Center is where Theesfeld is currently being held.

The motive for Theesfeld’s murder remains a mystery. Police claim they won’t reveal too much information to avoid jeopardizing the investigation. Theesfeld’s father, who also has a criminal record, has hired high-profile Oxford lawyers to represent him. In the meantime, a GoFundMe page has been set up to help the Kostial family pay for funeral expenses. On July 19, a public visitation and funeral were scheduled at Concordia Kirkwood Lutheran Church in St. Louis.

Brandon Theesfeld’s parents are currently in prison on murder charges. Their son was taken into custody shortly before 3:00 p.m. Monday. This arrest was the result a large police investigation. The body of Theesfeld was found near Sardis Lake, Oxford, Mississippi. While Theesfeld has not confessed to his crime, his affidavit argues that he killed Kostial with intention. Theesfeld’s Facebook page has since been removed from the Internet.
