Clerks 3 Casting Call
Kevin Smith returns to the chair as director to direct a sequel of the critically acclaimed “Clerks” series. Based on Smith’s tragic widowmaker attack of 2018, the third installment of the series will pick up after Randal’s heart attack. This film will see Randall, Jay, and Dante (as well as Silent Bob) return to their roles as the four friends he’s grown to rely on.
The sequel Clerks 2 came out as a live-action feature film, releasing on September 24, 2012. The title of the film was subsequently changed to Hardly Clerkin. Brian O’Halloran, Jeff Anderson, and Randal played the roles. Randal now works in a restaurant, Mooby’s, and is still upset over the destruction of his former jobs at RST Video and Quick Stop.
The lost scene is a short film written by Smith but never filmed. Miramax Films picked it up unexpectedly. It grossed over $3 million in the United States, despite not being screened in more than 100 theaters. It was nominated in three Independent Spirit Awards: Best First Feature and Best Screenplay. The movie has won numerous awards.
