Colleen McKernan’s Testimony in the Rob McKernan Murder Trial
Colleen McKernan testified on Monday in the murder trial of her husband Rob. She did not deny shooting Rob, but she argues that the shooting was in self-defense. Her testimony focused on her descriptions of Rob’s violent behavior. While the murder case against Rob McKernan has been in the works for more than two years, the court heard a series of new details about her case.
Colleen McKernan told police that she shot her husband in the chest, side, and face. However, the shooting caused no visible injuries to her. However, police did note that McKernan did not appear to be in any physical condition when she was arrested. Her case is expected to be re-opened in a few days.
Barr tried to highlight a few flaws in McKernan’s testimony, such as when she said Rob took her phone after she tried to call 911. Barr pointed out that the phone had an emergency call feature, but McKernan said she was not aware of it. She also said that Rob had left her when they fought.
