In an era when time seems to speed up and days can run by, hair is an important measure of time, whether you’re sheltering in a cave or enjoying the outdoors. As such, the hair of men is often just as important as the hair of women. The cartoon by Leo Cullum depicts a man sporting a jet-black head and receding hairline. It shows the relationship between man’s hair and his soul.

Black hair is celebrated on Cartoon Network. In honor of Black hair month, the network is releasing a three-part internet series called My HAIRstory! on YouTube. The show stars Kim Kimble, who has styled Rihanna and Beyonce. The series teaches viewers how to style their natural hair and is inspired by famous artists like Craig of the Creek. The series also stars Aria Bolden, the daughter of influential Dayna Bolden.
