Hannah Wesche

The mother of Hannah Wesche has been convicted of the murder of her daughter, Hannah. Lindsay Partin was sentenced to life in prison, but will be eligible for parole in 15 years. Partin had babysat the toddler on the night she collapsed. The autopsy revealed severe injuries to the girl’s head and body. However, Partin claimed that some bruising on the toddler’s face and chest was caused by a fall. Hannah’s mother had worked for more than thirty hours per day, and was paid just over $35 an hour.

Hannah Wesche was found unconscious by her mother on April 1, 2016. Her mother lied to police about the babysitter’s presence in the house, which she denied. In court on April 2, 2019, Lindsay’s defense team painted Wesche as a liar. It also claimed that Wesche was unaware of a friend staying with him while Hannah was asleep.

Hannah Wesche’s case has captivated the attention of many true crime bloggers. One such blogger, Lana Oriana, runs the YouTube channel Truth & Transparency. In a post on her Facebook page, she posted a picture of Hannah on her first birthday. In the picture, Hannah has pudding on her face and visible bruises on her collarbone.

Hannah’s autopsy was conducted by Dr. Dorothy Dean. As an expert witness in forensic pathology, she noted that Hannah was 32 pounds and 38.5 inches tall. She also found bruises on her head and neck. Further, she examined the area underneath the skin of Hannah’s back. This revealed bruises deep in the neck muscle.

Jason and Hannah Wesche were living in a house at 4004 Shank Road in Philadelphia. Partin had babysat Hannah during the day while the Wesches attended to other children. Partin was questioned about Hannah’s injuries and he told the former that the girl slipped and fell on rocks. Partin said she was not sure if Jason harmed Hannah, and that she didn’t want to get him in trouble.

Hannah Wesche’s death was the result of traumatic brain injury. She never recovered from the injury and died ten days later. Her father had left Hannah with Partin and then called her shortly afterwards. A few minutes later, Partin told Jason that something was wrong with Hannah. Jason immediately raced back home and found Hannah struggling to breathe. Hannah was taken to a hospital.

After Hannah was hospitalized, she continued to have a difficult time regaining her mental state. Her medical records and other evidence pointed to her abuse. She suffered head trauma and was traumatized in multiple planes. Dr. Makoroff opined that Hannah’s injuries were not accidental.

Hannah suffered multiple bruises on her face and body. She also had hemorrhages in both eyes. A CT scan showed she had suffered a large subdural hemorrhage. Detectives then interviewed Partin. Partin initially denied any knowledge of the incident and claimed that Hannah was fine when she went to Partin’s home. She later confessed to striking Hannah, despite the injuries. Partin also admitted to shaking Hannah.
