The Saturday Night Live sketch “I Got a Robe” features a mom who receives a robe but is actually surprised to find out it is for her dog. The character played by Kristen Wiig is stunned but seems to be used to this. She tries to make the best of the situation.

The improvised sketch is a tribute to moms everywhere. Kristen Wiig plays a tired mom who is woken up by her kids on Christmas morning. As the kids open presents, she raps “Thanks Mom!” but later notes that the robe is for sale!

On the holiday season, many moms go above and beyond to make their families happy. However, they are often overlooked when it comes to getting gifts. They may not get nearly as many gifts as other family members and find their stockings empty. After the Today Show highlighted Wiig’s skit, moms started posting photos of their new robes online.
