ISS328 was designed to be an icebreaker, so that students can connect with the material. Many university students arrive “blind”, but they have a good understanding of global soccer culture. Students brought different perspectives to the subject because of their diverse backgrounds. Students from psychology and early childhood development gave thoughtful analysis of Hornby’s relationship to Arsenal. They were able to connect on a deeper level.
