Lainey Vos, 4, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Was Shot and Shot to Death on December 31, 2019

Lainey Vos was born on September 22, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She passed away on December 31, 2019, in West Valley City, Utah. She is survived by her father Terence Vos and grandmothers Marta Lester and Monique Vos. Her great-grandparents Dale and Nancy Vos predeceased her.

Lester allegedly stabbed Lainey Vos with a kitchen knife 30 times. The child’s body was found a day later, with multiple deep lacerations to her chest and arms. Lester has been charged with aggravated murder. The investigation is ongoing, but investigators want to know what motivated her to stab Lainey.

Lester allegedly confessed to killing the girl. The confession came when a neighbor saw Lester wearing blood-stained clothing in front of her house. When police arrived at the scene, they found Lainey Vos dead inside Lester’s home. Lester faces a charge of aggravated murder in the death of the 4-year-old.
