Prop Day 2021
If you’re in the Chicago area this month, you may want to attend Goose Island’s Proprietor’s Day. The festival usually takes place in the late afternoon at Goose Island’s production brewery on Fulton Street. The event is free, and lottery winners receive two bottles of Goose Island’s flagship beer, Proprietors, and a token to pour it from the entire line-up.
Prop Day is a chance to enjoy Goose Island beer and escape the cold, which is why Goose Island brews a beer named after the event. The beer, which is named after a jungle bird cocktail first enjoyed in the 1970s, features pineapple, lime, and banana. This is the first time Goose Island has used pineapple.
Typically, Goose Island releases a brew called Bourbon County Brand Stout on Black Friday and Proposition Day. Goose Island also has a special goose island beer bottle design for Prop Day, which was created by Emily Kosmal. She uses her signature style to make a unique bottle, and the label is a perfect way to show your support.
The Goose Island brewery has unveiled its lineup for its flagship beer for the 2021 year. The lineup includes Bourbon County and Northwoods Stout, both of which are popular year-round options. The brewery also has a seasonal brew called Truly. This beer is extremely silky and rich.
