Fans of Selena Quintanilla can make their birthday celebrations unforgettable. A Houston girl celebrated her ninth birthday recently with a fiesta inspired her idol. The little girl wore a purple jumpsuit, and a purple pinata, with Yolanda Saltdivar. The pinata video went viral on TikTok where her mother shared it. It has been viewed close to fifteen million times.

Selena would have been 51 today on April 16th, but her life was ended in 1995 by a robbery. In a homage to the late singer, a special pop culture series at the Dallas Museum of Art will be held this year. The program will feature hands-on art making, a panel discussion with memorial artists, and a celebration of Selena’s music.

One Vega family created a Selena Quintanilla birthday party for their daughter Ayvah. They spent $500 on decorations, a custom made pinata and a cake with a Selena topper. Ayvah wore a purple jumpsuit with a red and white Polka-dot shirt for her costume.

Luciana Quintanilla, a purple-suited lady, will be making a special appearance at the party. Her music will be played by a DJ. A contest to find a look-alike will be held at the party.
