In 2001, Lubin discovered the potential of the Crocs business. She met a fellow woman who was selling her entire inventory for $10 per pair. She bought 400 pairs of samples, but later discovered that these were only samples to attract investors. Fortunately, Lubin’s husband was supportive of her business.
