Vanessa Cooper
Vanessa Cooper
Vanessa Cooper was born in Hampshire. She studied art at Portsmouth University and then exhibited her work. She is a bold artist whose work is often influenced by family and nature. Her paintings are bright and cheerful, with a playful sense of naivety. Although her work is often referred to as naive, there are deep veins of sensuality in her work. She paints what she loves: animals, children, and flowers.
Vanessa’s research focuses on the impact of technology on complex contexts. Her research has been awarded multiple times and received funding of over AUD 1 million. She is an active member and collaborator of the Green IS research cluster. Her current project is to develop a conceptual model for a virtual distributed learning tool that will allow students from different disciplines learn through dynamic disaster systems simulations. She is also a member of several professional societies, including the Association for Information Systems Management.
