Zac Garcia
Zachary Garcia’s story is one that has touched many people’s lives. His life is one that will be remembered for generations. He was popular with his peers and a great student. Many of his fraternity brothers shared their memories of Garcia on a GoFundMe campaign. Garcia was loved by many and had a great impact on many.
Garcia attended Sterling High School and was a four-year letterwinner under Coach Paul Tadlock. During his senior season, he hit a grand slam against Clear Lake. He was also a member of the National Honor Society and placed in the top 10 percent of his class. He was born on Oct. 14, 1995, and is the son of Chad and Jaime Garcia. He is currently majoring in kinesiology.
Garcia and Flood grew up playing basketball together. Garcia was a point guard, while Flood was a center. Garcia was later recruited by the University of Maryland and became a varsity player. In the days before his tragic death, Garcia and Flood were still friends. The two even signed a scholarship to play basketball together.
Garcia had a strong connection with his classmates. Garcia’s teammates considered him their “glue guy.” His infectious smile and outgoing personality were sure to bring people together. As the star point guard of Cresskill High School, he was a leader who made his teammates happy. But in his final moments, Garcia died in a tragic accident.
