Detectives have uncovered an important new piece of information in the case of Gwendolyn Mae Clemons. The missing 23-year-old mother of a toddler was last seen around Thanksgiving 1982. She left her baby with an unknown man, who never returned. Less than two weeks later, a deputy responding to a truck driver’s report of a body in a river discovered the toddler’s body.

The investigation into Clemons’ disappearance continues. Police have contacted other law enforcement agencies, and they are asking for public assistance in finding her remains.
