I 17 Accident

An I-17 accident north of Phoenix has shut down northbound lanes for several hours. The wrong-way driver was reportedly injured and is in critical condition. The other vehicles were not seriously injured. The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the wrong-way driver had been traveling south in the northbound lanes when he hit a car in the opposite lane. It is unclear if the driver was impaired.

The crash occurred on October 12 near Thomas Road in Phoenix, AZ. A sports car driver collided with a minivan, which veered into the path of a commercial truck.
