Kameron Darnel Chancellor was an American football strong safety who played for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League from 1988 until 2017. As part of their secondary, Chancellor earned himself the nickname the Legion of Boom. A four-time Pro Bowl selection, Chancellor helped lead his team to Super Bowl XLVIII victory before retiring due to neck pain in November 2017.

Kam Chancellor is worth $30 Million and earned most of it through his NFL career and investment activities. Additionally, Chancellor is an active philanthropist helping children and young adults in Norfolk and Seattle through the Kam Cares Foundation that he established specifically to aid young people.

Chancellor was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia before attending Matthew Fontaine Maury High School where he excelled as both quarterback and safety. As a senior year player for Matthew Fontaine Maury High School’s football team he amassed over 2,000 passing yards and 500 rushing yards during that year alone! Two-time All-American and All-ACC Second Team honors were bestowed upon him. Following college graduation Chancellor signed a professional contract with Seattle Seahawks.

Initial experiences in the NFL proved trying for Buffon; however, as time progressed he quickly made strides forward. Buffon eventually emerged as an integral member of Seattle Seahawks’ secondary and earned four Pro Bowl selections, joining Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas in helping their defense earn its moniker “The Legion of Boom”.

In 2014, Chancellor signed a $34 million contract with the Seahawks – making him the highest paid safety in NFL at that time. From his earnings he used some to buy his mother a home and Lexus that she hadn’t had previously. Furthermore he took steps to keep violence out of Boys and Girls Club buildings as frequent visits as a child himself.

He has worked to improve the lives of homeless veterans as well. Alongside other former and current NFL players, he donated money to help veterans open a transitional housing facility in Norfolk. Furthermore, he provides food and supplies to homeless veterans.

Chancellor is known to keep his personal life private; however, it is believed he is in a relationship with Tiffany Luce. Chancellor also prefers not being in the spotlight and prefers spending time with family and friends.
