Kingsley Acho Released From Green Bay Packers’ Defensive Line

The Green Bay Packers have released defensive lineman Kingsley Acho, who made eight starts for the team this season but hasn’t played in the past three games. He was acquired in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft from Texas A&M. His release comes as the Packers prepare for their NFC divisional playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers. The release came as no surprise, considering he was on the reserve/COVID-19 list for a Jan. 2 game against the Minnesota Vikings, and he didn’t practice the week after that. He also wasn’t expected to play in the regular season finale against the Detroit Lions, which came on Jan. 9.
