Marty Jannetty is an American professional wrestler known for competing for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), Extreme Championship Wrestling and Chikara. He is perhaps best-known as part of The Rockers tag team alongside Shawn Michaels in WWF competition.

Jannetty came from a family of wrestlers and began his wrestling career as an amateur in high school, winning state wrestling championships and training at Professional Wrestling Academy (PWA) Columbus Georgia before making his professional debut with Central States Wrestling (CSW) in 1984. Jannetty and Michaels quickly established themselves as an adept tag team, performing many acrobatic moves together while electrifying the crowd with their athleticism. Together they ultimately won both the CSW World Tag Team Championship and AWA Southern Tag Team Championship on two different occasions. After leaving CSW in 1986, Jannetty and 1-2-3 Kid moved on to the American Wrestling Association (AWA), winning twice more AWA World Tag Team Championships and three AWA Tag Team Championships respectively. Jannetty would later appear in 1988 and 1990 at World Wrestling Federation events where he would claim one Intercontinental Championship title as well as co-holding one World Tag Team Championship with 1-2-3 Kid.

Jannetty competed for both World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and the World Wrestling Federation International (WWII). Starting in 1997, he joined Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), where he would later become two-time ECW Champion. Later appearing on Raw, where his feud with Shawn Michaels culminated in an incident at the 1999 Royal Rumble where impostor Michaels joined forces with Razor Ramon and Diesel impersonators to attack Jannetty using Sweet Chin Music was used against him by impostors dressed as Razor Ramon and Diesel to attack Jannetty using Sweet Chin Music at that same Rumble event.

Jannetty suffered from chronic back problems and injuries during his later career, which significantly hampered his ability to perform consistently. As a result, he retired from active competition in 2004. Since then he has worked as both an announcer and trainer for wrestling promotion EVOLVE.

Jannetty currently serves as color commentator for Raw and SmackDown Live broadcasts, in addition to occasional work for Impact Wrestling and appearing on the independent circuit. He resides in Columbus, Georgia with his wife and daughter. Jannetty is an advocate for autism awareness and has shared publicly his own struggles with it. Unfortunately, in 2018, he was involved in a car accident which forced him into hospitalization for an extended period of time. Jannetty remains undeterred by health issues, remaining dedicated to his career as an announcer and trainer with EVOLVE. His appearances earned him over $2 Million last year alone! Additionally, he is an accomplished entrepreneur having his own clothing merchandise line available through various outlets; also boasting an established presence online with frequent posts of attention-grabbing videos on YouTube as well as Twitter and Instagram for updates.
