Australian professional boxer George Kambosos is widely respected, making a mark for himself in the lightweight division. His skills and drive have helped establish him as an unparalleled competitor, earning him many notable wins that have contributed substantially to his overall net worth.

George Kambosos currently boasts an estimated net worth of 1.5 Million. Ranked as one of the top lightweight division competitors by TBRB and The Ring, Kambosos held all three titles – WBA (Super), IBF and WBO lightweight titles from 2021-2022. Kambosos has also earned significant earnings through endorsement deals with Nike, Adidas and Puma as well as having made smart investments in real estate worth over 1 Million in Melbourne.

At first he competed as an amateur, winning numerous tournaments before making his professional debut against Filipino fighter Jayson Mac Gura in May 2013. It ended with a technical knockout victory for Kambosos; shortly thereafter he defeated experienced Brandon Ogilvie via friendly decision. Finally in May 2017 against Qamil Balla he defeated him via friendly decision in 10 rounds before defeating Krai Setthaphon to claim both IBF Pan Pacific and WBA Oceania featherweight titles with an 8th round knockout victory and knocking out Krai Setthaphon en route to becoming champion of both titles simultaneously.

Kambosos was born in Sydney, Australia to a family of Greek descent. His father Jim Kambosos is an ex-boxer and boxing coach; as a result of being bullied as an overweight child for being too large for his class at 11 years old, Jim enrolled him into boxing lessons to improve his fitness and help stop bullies bullying him for being overweight. Kambosos is now an advocate for boxing as an amateur and professional sport; supporting both amateur and professional athletes; having inked onto his body Spartan war cry “Never retreat, never surrender” as tribute to his ancestors while also sporting the Greek flag on his arm – as tributes – as a way of showing how far his family roots reach!
